Write that song. Get that tattoo. Learn the guitar. Wear those clothes. Style your hair that way. Listen to that music. Pick up that camera and take that picture. Learn to skateboard. Write that book. Stay up late. Everyone has a story. Live it. Breathe it. – Screw Those Who Don’t Understand.
Music & Lenses is an idea, actually, a passion that has been eating away at me for years. My goal is to document the challenges, experiences, emotions and the reasons why people start playing music together.
I plan on doing this by building relationships with local musicians, taking photos that represent moments of bands on stage and understanding why they play music by asking relevant and engaging questions.
For me, if I am not listening to music, taking pictures and trying to create something at the same time it feels like something is missing from my life.
One of the main things I love about the music scene is the support all the bands give each other as well as the gratitude you see in these bands when they play music live.
Creating something from nothing, then sharing it with the world is a vulnerable prospect and I have so much respect for these musicians doing this.
If you enjoy playing music and want to join me on my adventures then let’s collaborate. I look forward to collaborating with you on your project.
