I Believe I was about 10 or thereabouts and my mum took me down to a warehouse near where we lived and let me wander around for hours until I settled on a Cherry red squire Stratocaster, you know one of those beginner packs with a little frontman amp.

I started having lessons at school and then got told to give up by the teacher as I would never be able to pick it up, so I did.

Over the years the guitar goes missing and for some reason, I wanted to teach myself so once again my mum bless her and took me down to the same warehouse and I picked out an acoustic guitar.

I remember the determination I had to teach myself, hours and hours of learning the simplest of things, and being so excited to show my mum what I’d written or taught myself.

To this day I still play a very unique way and don’t know my theory at all.

What’s your favourite part about playing live?

“Being up on that stage with your best mates doing something we love and that appears to make people happy, that’s all that matters really if we give the people in the audience that 30-40 minutes where they can forget about the world outside the four walls of the venue then we’ve done our job”

What’s been your favourite moment since playing music?

“The first time the crowd sing back our songs, to think something I wrote connects with people enough that they feel the urge to sing is indescribable, i don’t even remember writing a lot of our tracks but the feeling of playing them live I’ll never forget it’s something you really can’t explain”
