New website, new approach, new ideas, same mission
Over the last few months, I have been going through about a thousand ideas of what it is I wanted to do with Music & Lenses. I wanted to understand what my ultimate direction for the brand was, what were the things I enjoyed and what were projects that I had not started and had no real place to venture into and completely take me out of my comfort zone.
The Task At Hand
It started with a revamp of my social media, specifically the one I spend most of my time on, Instagram. This is now in place. This was actually a really good exercise and I would strongly recommend everyone to do. It gave me an opportunity to review all my previous work and critique it. It gave me an opportunity to understand what worked and what was, well, crap.
Second, on my todo list was the website. I have created hundreds of websites over the last 10 years so this was a bit of a passion project of mine. It took me months to agree with myself what design worked, but it is finally complete and I am very happy with it 🙂
I have broken the website down into projects. Artist Stories and Live photography.
Artist Stories
Artist stories dive into the artist or band and try to understand why people play music, what are some of the challenges playing in a band, and the overall love of what they do.
Live Music Photography
3rd Row From The Front was my original handle for live music photography. I have had the name 3rd Row From The Front for as long as I can remember. It was the name of the first band I was in. IT acted as a live music event company I ventured into with my brother and now I use it as my photography project. I like the name.
Future Plans
I do have future plans in mind… YouTube videos, Podcasts with photographers and artists, website creator for musicians. They are on the roadmap and now I have the website and social media where I want it, this gives me the perfect platform to be able to move ahead.
